EVEN A SOAP BUBBLE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE: OUR RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING

Every year, more than 11 million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans. Without meaningful action, that number is expected to keep rising. Plastic pollution is no longer a distant or abstract issue—it affects ecosystems, communities, and future generations alike

In this context, even the smallest everyday products have a responsibility to play their part.

That is why, at Dulcop, the leading soap bubble manufacturing company based in Castel San Pietro Terme (Italy), every stage of production is guided by clear principles: efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. An approach that transforms a simple children's toy into a responsible industrial project, where fun and sustainability go hand in hand.

Our packaging

Sustainability is not an afterthought. It begins at the design stage, when decisions are made about how a bottle should look, which materials it should be made from, and how long it should last.

Today, more than 50% of Bubble World Refill and Maxi bottles are made from post-consumer recycled HDPE, a material that delivers the same strength and performance as virgin plastic while significantly reducing environmental impact.

For our Glass and Wand bottles, Dulcop uses recycled PET, preserving the transparency, appearance, and functionality of the packaging without compromise.

These are measurable, tangible choices that demonstrate it is possible to reduce the use of new raw materials while maintaining the quality of the play experience.

Dulcop's commitment goes beyond packaging: a short, controlled, and fully traceable supply chain

At Dulcop, sustainability does not stop at the bottle. Every stage of our production process has been redesigned to achieve more while reducing environmental impact, balancing manufacturing excellence, operational efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

The preparation of our soap bubble solution has been optimized to improve both efficiency and performance, while waste reduction is supported by continuous production processes and an integrated digital management system that monitors every stage in real time.

One of Dulcop's greatest strengths is the direct control of the entire production chain.
Every component of a Bubble World soap bubble bottle - including the cap, bottle, wand, insert, and maze ball - is manufactured in-house using eight injection molding machines powered by self-generated renewable energy.

This approach allows us to:

  • reduce production waste;
  • reuse materials more efficiently;
  • guarantee complete batch traceability.

Every 60 ml Bubble World bottle undergoes numerous automatic and manual quality inspections along a highly digitalized production line, resulting in a product that is safe, reliable, and manufactured with an exceptionally low rate of non-conformities.

Renewable energy and smarter production spaces

In June 2025, Dulcop installed a new photovoltaic system capable of covering up to 70% of the facility's energy requirements. The entire production site is heated and cooled using heat pumps, eliminating the need for fossil fuels.

Production spaces have also been completely reimagined. Today, every manufacturing stage - from molding to packaging - takes place on a single floor and can be completed in less than eight minutes, eliminating unnecessary movement throughout the facility. Internal logistics are fully automated and supported by a MODULA vertical storage system, reducing both space requirements and energy consumption.

Lightness, but with responsibility

At Dulcop, efficiency and sustainability are not separate goals. They are two parts of the same industrial vision. A vision that proves even something as simple and light as a soap bubble can be created through conscious, measurable, and responsible choices.

Because even a soap bubble, when made the right way, can make a difference.
